Channel Management for the Following OTAs – Sort of.

  • Reservation information is managed for Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com to prevent double bookings, but Hospitable users will need to manage listing descriptions, photos, and details for VRBO and Booking.com through each of those platforms instead of only through Hospitable. This can be tedious if you are connected to Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com because you will have to update the information in three places instead just through the PMS.

Guest Messaging – Yes, this is one of Hospitable’s best features because of it’s ease of use and reliability.  Customizable message templates are provided.  Messages can be automatically personalized for your guests and message delivery can be scheduled.  Airbnb and Vrbo guests receive their messages through the Airbnb and Vrbo messaging platform.  Messages sent and received through the OTA platform are important if issues arise during the stay and you need to contact OTA customer support.

Guest ID Management – Not built in, but available via integration with Autohost for hosts with more than 25 properties.  

Automated Rental Agreements –  Not built-in, but available via integration with Autohost for hosts with more than 25 properties.

Pros

  • One of the best PMS values
  • 14 day free trial
  • Compared to other PMS, Hospitable is intuitive and easy to set up. This draws a lot of users to Hospitable.
  • Guest messaging is reliable, and sends messages to Airbnb and VRBO guests through the Airbnb and VRBO platforms (which is great if you have an issue come up and you need to get Airbnb or VRBO support involved). There are many hosts who use Hospitable strictly for their messaging feature and manage other aspects of their business through another PMS they run parallel to Hospitable.
  • The Bad Guest Review Feature: This feature lets hosts write a bad review for poor guests that is automatically posted 20 seconds before the review window expires. As a result, hosts can write an honest review without worrying about a retaliatory review from the guest. Genius!
  • Hospitable is in a growth and innovation phase and have been adding new features and integrations quickly.

Cons

  • Property managers might not find all the features they require.
  • The direct booking website feature is still in beta and may not suit the needs of hosts yet.
  • Limited integration partners by comparison with other PMS.  *iCal calendar can be exported to connect with additional STR related companies.
  • Hospitable users will need to manage listing description, photos, and details for VRBO and Booking.com through each platform instead of only through Hospitable.
